M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase

Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase (M-MLV RT) is a RNA-directed DNA polymerase that can synthesize a complementary DNA (cDNA) strand from a primer hybridized to either RNA or single stranded DNA as a template. M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase is capable of synthesizing DNA longer than 5 kb from messenger RNA. RNase H activity of M-MLV reverse transcriptase is weaker than that of Avian Myeloblastosis Virus (AMV) reverse transcriptase.

SuperiorScript II Reverse Transcriptase

SuperiorScript II Reverse Transcriptase is genetically engineered version of M-MLV RT which is reduced RNase H activity and increased thermostability, thus this enzyme can synthesize cDNA at high temperatures more than M-MLV RT. SuperiorScript II Reverse Transcriptase shows improved cDNA yields and RNA detection sensitivity. This enzyme is capable of synthesizing cDNA longer than 12.3 kb from messenger RNA.

SuperiorScript III Reverse Transcriptase

SuperiorScript III Reverse Transcriptase is genetically engineered version of M-MLV RT which is reduced RNase H activity and increased thermostability, thus this enzyme can synthesize first-strand cDNA at elevated temperatures up to 55 ?. SuperiorScript III Reverse Transcriptase shows improved cDNA yields and RNA detection sensitivity than the competitor’s enzyme. This enzyme is capable of synthesizing cDNA from 100 bp to 12 kb or more.

TOPscript™ Reverse Transcriptase

TOPscript™ Reverse Transcriptase is genetically engineered version of M-MLV RT which is highly thermostable, thus can synthesize cDNA at elevated temperatures up to 60?. This property is very useful when RNA templates are long and have extensive secondary structures. TOPscript™ Reverse Transcriptase is capable of synthesizing cDNA longer than 20 kb from messenger RNA.

TOPscript™ II Reverse Transcriptase (RNase H-)

TOPscript™ II Reverse Transcriptase (RNase H-) is genetically engineered recombinant protein that possesses moderate thermostability (42~55°C) and lacks RNase H activity. TOPscript™ II Reverse Transcriptase (RNase H-) does not degrade RNA strands from RNA-DNA hybrids and therefore is capable of high yield of synthesizing cDNA. The optimum temperature of TOPscript™ II Reverse Transcriptase (RNase H-) is 50°C. TOPscript™ II Reverse Transcriptase (RNase H-) does not show inhibitory effect on one-step RT-PCR reaction.

TOPscript™ III Reverse Transcriptase (High fidelity)

TOPscript™ III Reverse Transcriptase (High fidelity) is a blend of a recombinant reverse transcriptase and a proofreading enzyme. The synergistic effect of both enzymes generate 7-fold higher fidelity compared to other commonly used reverse transcriptases. Due to the higher thermostability of reverse transcriptase and the specially optimized buffer system, reverse transcription reaction is possible at temperatures up to +55°C. TOPscript™ III Reverse Transcriptase (High fidelity) does not degrade RNA strands from RNA-DNA hybrids and therefore is capable of high yield of synthesizing cDNA. The optimum temperature of TOPscript™ III Reverse Transcriptase (High fidelity) is 50°C. TOPscript™ III Reverse Transcriptase (High fidelity) does not show inhibitory effect on one-step RT-PCR reaction.
